Robust features for industrial Ethernet networks with plug and play configuration
Robust features for industrial Ethernet networks with plug-and-play configuration. Designed for tough industrial environments with high demands, PLANET's new IFGS-1822TF has high-density 16 10/100BASE-TX ports, 2 additional Gigabit copper/SFP combo interfaces and a redundant power supply. While it has robust features designed for industrial Ethernet networks, plug and play setup is easy. With its IP30-rated rugged yet compact housing, it can operate stably under a temperature range of -40 to 75 degrees C and can be installed in any difficult environment without space limitation.

Two Gigabit Uplink Ports
The IFGS-1822TF offers two additional Gigabit TP/SFP combo interfaces, allowing network administrators to increase network bandwidth and alleviate traffic congestion when using the two 10/100/1000BASE-T uplink ports to connect devices such as NVRs, video streaming servers, NAS, and more. The combo design allows administrators to easily connect network devices, regardless of the size of the network expansion.
Flexibility and long-distance expansion solution
Through its two shared Gigabit-speed fiber SFP slots, it can also connect to the 1000BASE-SX/LX SFP (Small Form-factor Pluggable) fiber transceiver for long-distance uplinking to the backbone switch and monitoring center. Distances can be extended from 550 meters (multi-mode fiber) to 120 kilometers (single-mode fiber or WDM fiber). They are ideally suited for industrial data center and distribution applications.
Designed to withstand extreme environments
The IFGS-1822TF features an integrated power supply with a wide voltage range (12 to 48V DC or 24V AC) for worldwide high availability applications requiring dual or backup power. It also provides a high level of immunity to electromagnetic interference and large electrical surges typically found on factory floors or in roadside traffic cabinets.
Robust Protection
The IFGS-1822TF offers ±6KV DC contact discharge and ±6KV DC air discharge for Ethernet ESD protection. It also supports ±6KV surge immunity to enhance product stability and protect users' networks from devastating ESD attacks, ensuring uninterrupted operation.
Energy Saving
The IFGS-1822TF, integrated with advanced green networking technologies and the IEEE 802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet (EEE) protocol-based energy saving protocol, is capable of achieving energy savings of up to 50%, while maintaining efficient high efficiency.
- Link Down energy saving
Link Down energy saving goes beyond IEEE specifications to automatically reduce power consumption for a specific port when it's not linked. With Link Down energy saving technology, the IFGS-1822TF automatically adjusts the power consumption of ports that are disabled or not connected to a network device.
- Intelligent power adjustment based on cable length
Intelligent Power Adjustment is an intelligent algorithm that actively determines the appropriate current based on the cable length. When the IFGS-1822TF is connected to an Ethernet cable shorter than 20m, a device can achieve maximum energy savings because the IFGS-1822TF automatically detects the Ethernet cable length and reduces power consumption. The connected device can significantly reduce its overall energy consumption, contributing significantly to energy savings.
