The PLANET IGTP-80xT Industrial Gigabit Media Converter series combines Ethernet media conversion (from 1000Base-X to 10/100/1000Base-T) of 802.3at High Power over Ethernet (PoE) injector supplied in a IP30K Rugged housing. Specially designed for network equipment that requires sufficient and reliable power input, the IGTP-80xT series supports up to 30 watts power output and data transmission, both delivered to remotely powered devices through a single Ethernet cable. The 1000Base-X fiber uplink port provides long distance, high speed, and stable data transmission to the remote core network. The dedicated and convenient power system of the IGTP-80xT series supports 24 / 48V DC-power inputs for power redundancy and operational flexibility. Because the IGTP-80xT series can operate in temperatures ranging from -40 to 75 degrees Celsius, it can be placed in almost any difficult environment.
The fiber optic link capability extends the range of network expansion.
The maximum distance between the PoE PSE (Power Sourcing Equipment) and PD (Powered Device) via Ethernet cable is 100 meters. To extend PoE range, the IGTP-80xT series is integrated with a fiber interface for longer-distance applications. The IGTP-80xT series and its fiber connection types include:
■ IGTP-802T: SC-type multi-mode fiber interface, transmission distance up to 220m and 550m
■ IGTP-802TS: SC-type single-mode fiber interface, transmission distance up to 10km
■ IGTP-805AT: SFP slot supporting 100Base-FX/1000Base-X Multi/Single Mode SFP module, transmission distance up to 120km (varies by SFP module)
With support for long fiber distances, the IGTP-80xT series still maintains transmission performance of up to 1000 Mbps. It works with a high-performance Store and Forward mechanism and can also prevent packet loss with IEEE 802.3x Flow Control and the LFP (Link Fault Pass-through Function) function in the DIP switch design. In addition, it can immediately send an alarm to administrators when problems occur with the link media and provide efficient solutions for monitoring network power consumption.
Plug and Play High Power Sourcing solution
By complying with the new IEEE 802.3at High Power over Ethernet technology, the IGTP-80xT series offers up to 30 watts of output power, which doubles the PoE power and is more than the current conventional 802.3af PoEIt is also backward compatible with 802.3af PoE standards, allowing users to flexibly deploy standard and high-power devices simultaneously without the need for software configuration. With data and Power over Ethernet provided by a single unit, the IGTP-80xT series can reduce cable deployment and eliminate the need for dedicated electrical outlets on walls, ceilings, or other hard-to-reach locations.

The IGTP-80xT series offers an integrated power supply with a wide voltage range (24V/48V DC) for worldwide usability. It also offers dual-redundant, reversible 24V/48V DC power inputs for high-availability applications.
