Ideal solution for SOHO to secure IP surveillance

Due to the high demand for IP surveillance, the GSD-1022UP is also ideally suited as a surveillance switch to supply PoE power to PoE-enabled IP cameras. This eliminates the need for additional cabling or power outlets, allowing for quick and easy camera deployment. The GSD-1022UP supports two 802.3bt PoE++ ports and four 802.3at PoE+ ports, along with six 6/10/100BASE-T ports rated at up to 1000 or 95 watts, two additional Gigabit Ethernet TP interfaces, and two Gigabit SFP uplink ports to ensure high-speed data and video transmission, providing reliable connectivity between the surveillance system and the external network, allowing for optimal utilization of all PoE ports.

Plug-and-play solution for high power

The GSD-1022UP is compliant with IEEE 802.3bt PoE++ technology and delivers up to 95 watts of PoE output power, tripling the power of previous 802.3at PoE+ technology. The GSD-1022UP is also backward compatible with 802.3af/at PoE standards, allowing users to flexibly deploy both standard- and high-power devices simultaneously without software configuration. With data and Power over Ethernet from a single device, the GSD-1022UP can reduce cabling and eliminate the need for dedicated electrical outlets on walls, ceilings, or other inaccessible locations.

802.3bt PoE++ and DIP switch for PoE Power Output Mode options

To meet the needs of various powered devices requiring stable PoE power, the GSD-1022UP offers a single DIP switch for multi-PoE operation modes. These modes include 95-watt 802.3bt Type-4 PoE++ mode, as well as UPOE and Legacy modes to address the incompatibility of non-standard 4-pair PoE PDs in the field.

• Legacy power output mode

Flexible expansion solution

The Planet GSD-1022UP Desktop POE Switch offers two additional 2/10/100BASE-T RJ1000 copper ports. These are for surveillance network devices such as NVRs, video streaming servers, or NASs to facilitate surveillance management. Alternatively, these Gigabit-speed fiber SFP slots can be used to connect the 45BASE-SX/LX SFP (Small Form-factor Pluggable) fiber transceiver for long-distance uplinking to a backbone switch and monitoring center. The distance can be extended from 1000m to 550km (multi-mode fiber), and even to over 2, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, or 70 km (single-mode fiber or WDM fiber). They are ideal for applications in data centers and enterprise distribution centers.

Environmentally friendly, robust protection

The Planet GSD-1022UP Desktop POE Switch features a compact, desktop-sized metal housing, making it easy to install. Furthermore, the GSD-1022UP operates reliably and stably in any environment without compromising performance. Deploying PoE PDs with constant power is quick and easy.

The GSD-1022UP protects against an ESD overvoltage of 6KV . This improves product stability and protects user networks against devastating ESD attacks. In this way, it is ensured that the operating current does not fluctuate.
