The MGB family consists of Small Form Factor Pluggable (SFP) transceiver modules specifically designed for a high-performance, integrated duplex data link over single-mode optical fiber. These transceiver modules are SFP Multisource Agreement (MSA) compliant and hot-pluggable. These modules offer easy installation in SFP MSA-compliant ports at any time without interrupting host equipment.
The MGB-Txxx versions are industrial versions that are more suitable for use in industrial switches because the temperature range of the GBic is greater, i.e. -40 – +75 degrees Celsius.
The MGB family of SFP Mini-GBIC Ethernet modules can be installed in Planet Switch products with an SFP Mini-GBIC interface. The deployment distance can be extended from 100 meters (TP), 550 meters (multi-mode), and up to 120 kilometers (single-mode, LC).
