Choose the right RBC

If you can't find the right battery right away, please contact us with your dimensions or UPS type, and we'll find the right battery set for you. Batteries used in UPS systems are usually lead-acid batteries.

Lead Batteries

Lead-acid batteries are relatively heavy, but that's usually not a problem for UPS applications. The batteries achieve their longest lifespan at an ambient temperature of 20-25 degrees Celsius. For every 10-degree increase in temperature, the battery lifespan is halved.

The right RBC Battery

For most kits in the shop4power webshop, the "technical information" tab provides more information about which UPSs they can be used with. For APC UPS systems, you'll usually find a small white sticker on the back of the UPS that lists the serial number and the exact model number. You can use this to find the right battery replacement using the search box at the top of the shop4power webshop.

Maximum Lifespan of RBC Batteries

These lead-acid batteries from shop4power are specially designed to achieve maximum lifespan with very few charge cycles. These batteries are continuously charged and waiting for those moments when a power outage or power degradation occurs, requiring the UPS and its batteries to be used. Lead-acid batteries are almost 100% recyclable and can therefore be returned to us for proper and environmentally responsible disposal.

Battery is delivered charged

The batteries you receive are at least 70% charged and can therefore be used as a backup in the UPS immediately after replacement.

Extend UPS backup time with RBC

It's possible to extend the backup time of your UPS by using a larger/heavy-duty battery or by installing multiple sets of batteries in parallel. It's unlikely this will fit in the same UPS, but it's certainly possible. Besides the volume limitations, there are also limitations related to the UPS charger. If you use a larger battery, you should check whether your charger can recharge the battery within an acceptable time. If not, the charging process might be so slow that it damages the battery. Therefore, it would be wise to contact Shop4power about this.
