The PBQ G40-12 Gel-Lead battery is a CYCLIC battery designed specifically to operate in more demanding conditions. When it comes to shocks, the Gel battery from Cellpower is the right choice.
The battery is of the VRLA (Valve Regulated Lead Acid) type.
A common misconception is that people often talk about a Lead-acid battery or a Gel battery, but the Gel battery IS a Lead-acid battery. The major difference between a “regular” lead-acid battery and a Gel lead-acid battery is that the “fluid” between the lead plates in a Gel battery has a much higher viscosity, making it more of a gel-like substance rather than a liquid. As a result of this, during shocks, the plates will remain more stable and have reduced chances of making contact quickly.
