Power over Ethernet is gradually becoming a widespread technology that continues to improve rapidly. No one would have imagined that in the very near future, power levels of nearly 100 watts could be sent over the data cable while still maintaining a 1 Gigabit data connection. For both large and small businesses, and for the end user, Power over Ethernet is a fantastic addition to standard network cabling. Every telephone now requires only a network cable, eliminating the need for a power outlet. Cameras mounted on the outside wall can easily be powered by the network cable, eliminating the need for an installer to install yet another power outlet. The same, of course, applies to routers, Wi-Fi extenders, access points, and so on. Thanks to the use of LED lighting, it's now even possible to provide office lighting via PoE. In addition to these Power over Ethernet developments that transmit data and PoE over UTP cables up to 100 meters, Planet Networking & Communication has now also developed a complete range of LRP (Long Reach PoE). This range of products allows you to transmit power and data over distances far beyond 100 meters using a standard UTP cable or even a coaxial cable. The latter is particularly interesting because many companies still use analog cameras connected via coaxial cable. With the new LRP solutions, the cables remain in place and the analog camera can still be replaced with an IP camera.
