General

This user-friendly, standalone indicator was developed by BatteryLabs to provide a solution for capacity indication on all batteries between 12V and 72V. This intelligent indicator is programmed for the battery configuration specified in the specifications. With a single button press, you'll know your battery's remaining capacity.

Application

This indicator can be used for a wide variety of applications. Connecting it is very simple. It can be used in the supplied housing, but it can also be mounted on a 2mm thick panel using the included bracket and sticker.

Technique

The IC in the indicator is capable of a highly accurate calculation of the battery's current capacity, using only the voltage as a starting point. Voltage drops during battery use are detected and filtered out by the IC. When the button on the indicator is pressed, the LEDs light up in rapid succession. Five LEDs indicate a full battery; one LED indicates an empty battery. The time between the last LED turning on indicates how close it is to the next LED level. This function allows for accurate level indication using 5 LEDs.
