Batteries used in UPS systems are usually lead-acid batteries. Lead-acid batteries are relatively heavy, but that's usually not a problem for UPS applications. The batteries achieve their longest lifespan at an ambient temperature of 20-25 degrees Celsius. For every 10-degree increase in temperature, the battery lifespan is halved. For most sets in the shop4power webshop, the "technical information" tab provides more information about which UPS they can be used in. For APC UPS systems, you'll usually find a small white sticker on the back of the UPS that lists the serial number and the exact model number of the UPS in question. You can use this sticker to find the right battery replacement using the search box at the top of the shop4power webshop. These lead-acid batteries from shop4power are specially designed to achieve maximum lifespan with very few charge cycles. These batteries are continuously charged and waiting for the moments when a power outage or degradation occurs, requiring the UPS and its batteries to be loaded. Lead-acid batteries are almost 100% recyclable and can therefore be returned to us for proper and environmentally responsible disposal. The batteries you receive are at least 70% charged and can therefore be used as a backup in the UPS immediately after replacement. It is possible to extend the backup time of your UPS by using a heavier/larger battery or by installing multiple sets of batteries in parallel. It is unlikely that it will fit in the same UPS, but it is certainly possible. In addition to the volume limitations, there are also limitations related to the UPS charger. If you use a larger battery, you should check whether your charger can recharge the battery within an acceptable time. If not, the charging process may be so slow that it damages the battery.
