The new Planet IGS-1820TF features 16 high-density 10/100/1000BASE-T ports, 2 1000BASE-X SFP interfaces, and a redundant power supply system. It is designed for demanding industrial environments. Long-distance fiber uplink for network expansion
The two additional SFP slots in the IGS-1820TF support 1000BASE-SX/LX SFP (Small Form-factor Pluggable) fiber optic transceivers for long-distance uplink connections to a backbone switch. Using the SFP fiber optic transceivers, the distance can be extended from 550 meters to 2 kilometers (multimode fiber) and up to 120 kilometers (single-mode fiber or WDM fiber). This feature is ideal for applications in enterprise data centers and distribution networks.

With its IP30-rated, rugged metal enclosure, the PLANET IGS-1820TF offers a high degree of protection against electromagnetic interference and high electrical surges, often found in factory environments or roadside traffic control systems. The IGS-1820TF can be installed in virtually any challenging environment, operating in temperatures ranging from -40 to 75 degrees Celsius. It supports both DIN rail and wall mounting for efficient use of available cabinet or panel space.
Robust protection
The IGS-1820TF offers ±6KV DC contact discharge and ±6KV DC air discharge for ESD protection of Ethernet. It also supports ±6KV surge resistance to enhance product stability and protect networks from harmful ESD attacks. This ensures that business processes continue to operate uninterrupted.

Intelligent power scaling is an algorithm that actively determines the appropriate power level based on cable length. When connected with an Ethernet cable shorter than 1820 meters, the IGS-20TF can achieve maximum energy savings. The IGS-1820TF automatically detects the length of the Ethernet cable and reduces power consumption. This allows the connected device to significantly reduce its overall energy consumption, making a significant contribution to energy savings.

Dual power input for high network availability
The Planet IGS-1820TF features a robust dual power supply system with wide voltage support (12V~48V DC or 24V AC). This increases reliability and availability in industrial automation networks. For example, if power supply 1 fails, the hardware failover function is automatically activated, ensuring the IGS-1820TF continues to receive power from power supply 2 without any downtime.
