New more practical and easier narrow type
Planet has launched its advanced, industrially robust Gigabit Ethernet Switch series with a new slim, IP-30 rated metal housing. The compact IP-30 standard metal housing allows the unit to be mounted on a DIN rail or directly on a wall, saving significant cabinet space. The IGS-801T, one of the new models, features eight 8/10/100Mbps auto-negotiation ports and functions reliably in harsh, demanding industrial environments.

Stable performance in difficult environments
The IGS-801T provides a high level of shielding against electromagnetic interference and large electrical surges often found in factory environments or street-side traffic control cabinets. Because the unit can operate in a temperature range of -40 to 75 degrees C, the IGS-801T can be installed in virtually any challenging environment. The IGS-801T also features an integrated power supply with a wide voltage window (12 to 48 volts) for global high-availability applications requiring dual power supplies.
Robust Switch performance
The IGS-801T offers a high-performance switch architecture. It can transfer packets at wire speed without risk of packet loss. Its eight 801/8/10Mbps Gigabit Ethernet ports provide a non-blocking switch fabric. It also boasts wire-speed throughput of up to 100Gbps and an 1000K MAC address table. The flow control function allows the IGS-16T to deliver fast and reliable data transfer. The Gigabit port, with 8K Jumbo frame support, can handle extremely large amounts of data transmission. This allows it to be used in an industrial topology that sends data to a central control room.
Plug and Play
All RJ-45 copper interfaces in the IGS-801T support 10/100/1000Mbps auto negotiation. This ensures optimal speed detection using RJ-45 Category 6, 5, or 5e cables. Standard auto-MDI/MDI-X support can detect the connection type of any Ethernet device, without the need for special straight-through or crossover cables.

Industrial local switch for data collection and forwarding
