The PLANET FSD-1008HP offers eight 10/100TX ports with 30-watt 802.3at PoE+, a total power budget of 120-watt PoE, and two additional uplink ports to meet the need for sufficient PoE power for HD IP security and Wi-Fi systems on small-scale, high-performance networks. With the same desktop footprint and compact metal housing, it makes the switch easy to install. It also enables quick and easy PoE PD deployment with power feeding.

Ethernet Data Transmission Extension

The built-in solid-state DIP switch offers "Standard," "VLAN," and "Extend" operating modes. The FSD-1008HP operates as a standard IEEE 802.3at PoE+ switch in "Standard" operating mode.

The “VLAN” operating mode is equipped with a port-based VLAN function that helps prevent the multicast or broadcast storm of the IP cameras from affecting each other.

In “Extended” mode, the FSD-1008HP operates at 10Mbps duplex on a per-port basis, but supports 30 watts of PoE power output over a distance of up to 250 meters, exceeding the 100-meter limit on Ethernet UTP cable. With this brand-new feature, the FSD-1008HP offers a complementary solution for 802.3at PoE+ distance extension, saving the cost of Ethernet cable installation. Furthermore, its VLAN isolation function isolates each port to prevent broadcast storms and defend against DHCP spoofing in “Extend” mode.
