Practical and Robust Industrial PoE++ Splitter 

The PLANET IPOE-173S is an industrial 802.3bt Power over Ethernet splitter. It can split Ethernet digital data and PoE power from an 802.3bt PoE++ Type-4 PSE on a UTP cable. The unit can be configured for 12V or 24V DC using a DIP switch. This allows the IPOE-173S to deliver a maximum power output of 70 watts to a non-PoE powered Ethernet device. The unit supports passive 10/100/1000Mbps Ethernet connectivity and distances of up to 100 meters. To meet the demands of industrial applications, the IPOE-173S is designed to operate at temperatures ranging from -40 to 75 degrees C. The IPOE-173S is the ideal solution for supplying power to a traditional network device with higher power consumption without the need to install additional outlets and electrical cabinets in the industrial environment.

Quick and Easy 802.3bt PoE++ Network Installation

If the existing network consists of non-PoE-powered devices that require high power, the IPOE-173S, powered by an Ultra PoE power supply system, can supply the PDs with 802.3bt PoE++, as the splitter can split data and power into two lines. The PDs receive their own power via the splitter's DC jack, and the RJ45 interface accepts only Ethernet data. The following non-PoE PDs can be converted to a PoE++ environment using the IPOE-173S:

• thin clients
• AIO (All-in-One) touch PC
• Remote digital signage display
• Non-PoE network equipment that requires higher than normal power

The POE-173S eliminates the need for electrical outlets when positioning network equipment. This saves the cost of additional AC cabling and significantly reduces installation time.

Innovative, Selectable DC Power Output Voltage

Featuring the innovative 12/24 volt DIP switch on the front panel, the IPOE-173S can supply either 24V DC or 12V DC power to the industrial load. This increases the flexibility of the product application.

Dual Power Output Possible

The IPOE-173S can distribute its 70-watt output power, if needed, to two non-POE Ethernet systems simultaneously using a 4-pin terminal block. For example, the two power outputs can be used as shown below to meet the power demand.

• IP camera (Power 1) + housing with fan and heating (Power 2)
• IP camera (Power 1) + Pan & tilt motor (Power 2)
• Analog camera (Power 1) + IP video server (Power 2)

Specially designed for harsh environmental conditions

With its compact, slim IP30 industrial housing, the IPOE-173S can be placed in almost any harsh environment. The unit can be installed using DIN rail or wall mounting, ensuring the most efficient use of available space. Because the IPOE-173S can operate at temperatures from -40 to 75 degrees C, it is the ideal product to work with the industrial 802.3bt PoE++ type-4 injector, which can provide power to non-POE equipment over distances of up to 100 meters under these harsh environmental conditions.
