The Planet POE-152 is a IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet Gigabit Injector that 48 Volts DC over the ethernet cable.
The POE-152 Injector supplies DC voltage into a UPT cable, allowing the cable between the injector (POE-152) and the splitter (POE-152S) or the PoE application to carry data and power simultaneously.
The maximum distance between the injector (POE-152) and the splitter (POE-152S) or the PoE device is 100 meters. To extend the distance beyond 100 meters, a PoE-E101 or PoE-E201 extender must be used.
The POE-152 combines Ethernet digital data with power over twisted-pair cables as an IEEE802.3af Power over Ethernet injector. The IEEE802.3af Power over Ethernet splitter separates the digital data and power into two outputs.
When using the IEEE802.3af Power over Ethernet injector, the system administrator only needs to use a single RJ-45 Ethernet cable to transmit power and data. Furthermore, using POE-152 and POE-152S-5V/12V can save costs, simplify network planning, and achieve higher reliability.

Connecting to IEEE 802.3af systems
Leveraging the IEEE 802.3af standard, the POE-152 can connect directly to any IEEE 802.3af end-nodes, such as wireless access points, IP phones, and Internet cameras, that support IEEE 802.3af, through its PoE port.
Installing the IEEE 802.3af Injector and Splitter
In locations where a power supply is difficult to find, the POE-152 and POE-152S as a set can be a simple way to power your Ethernet systems, such as ceiling-mounted IP cameras or wireless access points. Of course, the POE-152 can also be used on its own with PoE systems.
