The PLANET POE-173 Ultra Power over Ethernet Injector delivers up to 60 watts of power and a Gigabit data connection, anywhere within your network. PLANET Ultra Power over Ethernet solutions include two brand-new products:

Quickly and easily install a Gigabit Ultra Power PoE network
The POE-173 is a Single-Port, Ultra Power over Ethernet Injector with a maximum 60 watts Power output over Ethernet cables. The unit is specifically designed to meet the growing demand for ever-increasing power in network equipment such as:
■ PTZ Speed Dome
■ AIO (All-in-One) touch PC
■ Remote digital signage display
■ Other Network equipment that requires spring power during normal operation.

The POE-173 delivers the Ethernet digital data with 50V DC power over the twisted pair cables as a 60-watt Power over Ethernet Injector, and the optionally connected Ultra Power over Ethernet splitter – the POE-171S – splits the digital data and the “power” into three possible voltages (12V / 19V / 24V DC). The distance between the injector and the splitter can be up to 100 meters.

60 watts of power over 4-pair UTP
The POE-173 and POE-171S Ultra PoE solutions use the same standard cabling as IEEE 802.3af/at PoE. Instead of delivering power over a 2-pair twisted UTP—whether end-span (pins 1, 2, 3, and 6) or mid-span (pins 4, 5, 7, and 8)—the system delivers 60 watts of power using all four pairs of standard Cat. 5e/Cat. 6 Ethernet cabling.

All-in-one and Compact Housing
The POE injector is easy to install with plug and play, and comes with simple troubleshooting, making it easy for businesses and end users to implement this solution. Furthermore, the POE-173 is housed in a compact housing and features a 52~56V DC input power jacket, one power LED, a PoE-in-use LED, and a legacy LED. Two RJ45 ports—an Ethernet port and an Ethernet + DC port—are located on the side panel. Simply connect the Ethernet cable and the power cord, and the POE-173 is ready to provide high-speed network communication and the 802.3bt PoE injector function simultaneously without the need for software configuration.

Quick and Easy Cable Installation for a PoE Network Rollout
Because the injector is backward compatible with the 802.3af/at PoE standards, the POE-173 allows users to flexibly deploy standard and high-power equipment to simultaneously transmit data and power over a single data cable, extending up to 100 meters. The POE-173 frees security IP cameras and wireless APs from the constraints of electrical outlet location and additional wiring. This reduces cabling and eliminates the need for electrical outlets.
