Many of the Din Rail managed switches offer the option of incorporating redundant ring technology into the industrial network to ensure reliability and uptime in aggressive factory environments. It protects your industrial network from interruptions and unwanted external access with its robust and fast self-recovery capabilities and the IEEE802.1w Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol (RSTP), which is used to build a fault-tolerant ring. The protocol is optimized to support large rings and fault recovery times of less than 20 ms.
