If you cannot find the right battery immediately, you can contact us with the measurements or type of UPS and we will find the right battery set for you. The batteries used in UPS systems are generally lead batteries. Lead batteries are relatively heavy but that is not normally a problem for UPS applications. The batteries reach their longest lifespan at an ambient temperature of 20-25 degrees Celsius. For every 10 degree increase in temperature, the lifespan of the batteries will be halved. On most sets on the shop4power website, you can find more information about which UPS these sets can be applied to in the "technical information" tab. With most APC UPS systems, you will usually find a small white sticker on the back of the UPS that lists the serial number and exact type number of the UPS in question. This can help you find the correct battery replacement using the search bar at the top of the shop4power website. These lead batteries from shop4power are specially designed to reach maximum lifespan with very few charge cycles. These batteries are continuously charged and waiting for moments when there is a power failure or degradation of the grid, so that the load on the UPS and the UPS batteries is necessary. Lead batteries can be recycled almost 100%, and can therefore also be returned to us for proper disposal. The batteries you receive will be at least 70% charged and are therefore immediately applicable as a backup after replacement. It is possible to extend the backup time of your UPS by using a heavier/larger battery or by placing multiple sets of batteries in parallel. It is unlikely that it will fit in the same UPS, but it is certainly possible. In addition to the volume limitations, there are also limitations in relation to the charger of the UPS. If you use a larger battery, you will need to check if your charger is capable of recharging the battery within an acceptable time. If this is not the case, it may also be that the charging is so slow that it causes damage to the battery. Contacting Shop4power would be advisable in this case.
