In water and fishing sports, electric batteries are increasingly used, to take advantage of this it is important that the battery is also sturdy enough for these applications. That's why we have developed the MegaUMPF Special for fishing and water sports and these batteries are extremely robust and finished with sturdy rubber edges. The edges provide good grip and the handle ensures that the battery is also easy to handle. To keep track of the battery charge, we have placed a charging indicator on top of the battery so that you can monitor the status of the battery at all times. To round it off, the battery poles consist of recessed M5 insert poles. To ensure that charging and discharging is as even and controlled as possible, a BMS (Battery Management System) has been built into the battery, which ensures that the cells are charged and discharged evenly. The BMS also protects against overcharging, deep discharge, high temperatures, and high currents. The BMS works fully automatically, when a limit is exceeded, the battery blocks, and it recovers itself when separated from the consumer. Because the BMS is capable of charging and discharging over the same MOSFETs, a separate charging plug is no longer needed. This also increases the possible charging current. The efficient design of the PCB means that the BMS uses very little energy. This means that the self-discharge of the battery is very low and it takes several years for the battery to be fully discharged. Storing the battery for a long time is therefore not a problem.
