Battery Li-ion 48V 20.8Ah 13S MegaUMPF2

General

This Li-ion 48-volt 20,8-ah 13S MegaUMPF2 battery is designed to provide mobile power in any situation. This new generation of lithium batteries is based on its predecessor, but is now even more robust and better equipped for tough conditions. A fiber-reinforced exoskeleton is fitted beneath the rubber bumpers to absorb heavy impacts. The battery also boasts excellent waterproof properties thanks to PVC seals and a pressure-regulating membrane. The battery features silver-plated, recessed terminals (M5).
The current state of charge can be read via the intelligent indicator, but also via BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) and the BatteryLabs app. This app also provides access to other battery data, such as current current, voltage, temperature, and number of cycles used. 

BMS

The BMS in this lithium battery balances the cells and protects against overcharging, deep discharge, excessive temperature, short circuits, and excessive currents. This BMS operates fully automatically. When a threshold value is exceeded, the battery shuts down; it recovers automatically when disconnected from the consumer. Because we use BMSs that can charge and discharge via the same MOSFETs, no separate charging plug is required. This increases the possible charging current and also makes these batteries suitable for regenerative systems. Due to the efficient design of the PCB, the BMS consumes very little energy, and it takes several years for the battery to fully discharge. Therefore, storing it for extended periods is no problem.

cells

This type of battery uses NMC 18650 cells. These cells are characterized by their excellent energy density combined with a favorable cost of ownership. All NMC 18650 cells we use are equipped with a CID (current interrupt device), which protects each cell individually. If a cell becomes too hot, it shuts down.
