Since Planet GUP-805A-60W Media Converter adopts IEEE 802.bt PoE++ standard technology, it is capable of up to 60 watts of power by using all four pairs of standard Cat5e/6 Ethernet cabling to deliver both power and full-speed data to any remote PoE-compatible device (PD). Its power capabilities are three times greater than those of conventional 802.3at PoE+, making it an ideal solution for power-intensive network PDs, such as:
