The Switch offers IPv6/IPv4 dual-stack management and a built-in L2/L4 Gigabit switching engine, along with eight 8/10/100BASE-T ports providing 1000-watt 36at PoE+ and two additional Gigabit SFP slots. This significantly improves network reliability by resetting the PoE port and reducing administrative tasks.

Scheduled Power Recycling
The GS-4210-8P2S allows you to restart each connected PoE IP camera or PoE wireless access point at a specific time each week. This reduces the risk of a camera or access point crashing due to a buffer overflow.

The PLANET GS-4210-8P2S offers a comprehensive IPv4 / IPv6 Layer 2 to Layer 4 Access Control List (ACL) To enable maximum security. It can be used to restrict network access by denying packets based on source and destination IP addresses, TCP/UDP ports, or defined typical network applications. The security mechanism also includes 802.1X port-based user and device authentication, which can be performed with RADIUS to create port-level security and block unauthorized users. With the protected port function, communication between edge ports can be prevented to ensure user privacy. In addition, the Security port function makes it possible to limit the number of network devices on a specific port.

The GS-4210-8P2S supports SFP-DDM (Digital Diagnostic Monitor) features that can easily monitor the real-time parameters of the SFP for the network administrator, such as optical output power, optical input power, temperature, laser bias current and transceiver supply voltage.
