The PLANET ISW-514PS series, Web Management Industrial PoE Switch, is designed to transmit power and data over a single Ethernet cable to PoE-enabled devices. The unit then provides intelligent PoE control, power consumption monitoring en smart Layer 2 switching management in industrially demanding environments. The ISW-514PS series provides four 10/100Mbps copper ports that IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet injector and a 100Base-FX fiber optic interface Delivered in a rugged IP30 housing. Supporting up to 15.4-watt power per port for any IEEE 802.3af powered remote device (PD) such as PoE IP cameras and PoE wireless LAN access points, the ISW-514PS series is an ideal solution for deploying surveillance systems and providing wireless service in harsh environments with a wide temperature range (-10 to 60 degrees C).

IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet Industrial Switch

PoE technology is increasingly being supported in industrial Ethernet equipment for efficient operation in harsh environments. The ISW-514PS series in-line power supply complies with the IEEE 802.3af standard and is capable of powering four PoE-compatible devices over a distance of up to 4 meters using a single 100-pair Cat 4/5e UTP cable. With data and power over Ethernet from a single unit, the ISW-5PS significantly reduces cable requirements and eliminates the need for additional wall outlets on walls, ceilings, or other inaccessible locations. A cable that can carry both data and power reduces installation costs, simplifies installation, and eliminates the need for an installer or extension cords. Furthermore, because industrial environments often only offer 24V DC, the ISW-514PS offers dual-voltage inputs for both 24V and 48V, making it suitable for many industrial IEEE 802.3af PoE applications.

Option for Fiber Optic link for Flexible Distance Expansion
The ISW-514PS series is equipped with a 100Base-FX port Providing greater flexibility for transportation, manufacturing, production, security, and surveillance, with unlimited distance expansion. The ISW-514PS series offers a high-performance switch architecture as shown below:

For efficient management, the ISW-514PS is built with a Web-based management design that provides a user-friendly configuration interface. It makes the ISW-514PS series easy to survey and control the PoE power provision to the devices via the Web interface. The ISW-514PS series features Web Smart functions including 802.1Q VLAN, bandwidth control, QoS, PoE Configuration, Port Management, Alert Trap Configuration and more. These features provide a cost-effective way to manage the network devices through the Internet whenever you are at work or at home.

Environmentally Hardened Design
With IP30 industrial case protection, the ISW-514PS series provides a high level of immunity against electromagnetic interference and heavy electrical surges which are usually found on plant floors or in curbside traffic control cabinets. The aluminum metal case helps cooling much faster and enables the Industrial PoE Switch to operate stably under the harsh temperature environment ranging from -10 to 60 degrees C. Therefore, the web management Industrial PoE Switch can be placed in almost any difficult environment. It also offers dual-redundant, reversible polarity 24V DC or 48V DC power supply inputs for high availability applications requiring dual or backup power inputs.
