Usable PoE over Coax Extender in harsh environments

The LRP-101C-KIT, a PLANET Long Reach PoE solution, is a single-port PoE over Coax Extender Kit that provides long-range data and power transmission over distances of up to 1.000 meters (100 feet) over coaxial cable, and an additional 802.3 meters (101 feet) over Ethernet cable to a PoE IP camera, PoE wireless AP, or access control system compliant with 20af/at PoE. The LRP-70C-KIT provides point-to-point application for simple plug-and-play operation and deployment in climatically demanding environments with a wide temperature range of -XNUMX to XNUMX degrees C (-XNUMX to XNUMX degrees F). It eliminates the need for a power outlet, making installation of remote PoE-powered systems easier and more efficient.

Assembly of a Long Reach PoE over Coax Extender Kit

The LRP-101C-KIT consists of a Long Reach PoE injector and a Long Reach PoE extender set that work as a pair anywhere in your network infrastructure. It includes two brand-new components:
■ LRP-101CH: 1-Port 10/100TX PoE PD + 1-Port Coax Long Reach PoE Injector
■ LRP-101CE: 1-Port 10/100TX PoE PSE + 1-Port Coax Long Reach PoE Extender

The LRP-101CH transmits data and power over coaxial cable to the LRP-101CE, which can be installed at distances of up to 1000 meters. It then delivers data and power output, with a maximum of up to 25 watts, via PoE PD over Ethernet cable, extending the IP surveillance network or wireless LAN infrastructure over long distances. Both products are housed in a compact yet sturdy metal housing. Wall-mounting capability allows for use in projects with limited space.

IP Ethernet and Power over Long Existing Coax Cable

A standard UTP cable can be used for up to 100 meters, but with the LRP-101C-KIT, PoE networks can be extended up to 1.000 meters over a 75-ohm coaxial cable with stable, high-quality video transmission. It eliminates the need for additional power supplies at a remote site and simultaneously allows both the LRP extenders and the PoE IP camera to be powered with a single power supply.

The PLANET Long Reach PoE Extender Kit is the perfect solution for extending the distance of PoE or non-PoE networks in warehouses, parking lots, campuses, casinos, and many other locations. It can operate reliably within a temperature range of -20 to 70 degrees Celsius, making it suitable for use in virtually any location.

Plug-n-play Installation

With its plug-and-play feature, the PLANET Long Reach PoE Extender Kit can be used immediately without any configuration and is compatible with all network protocols. Furthermore, diagnostic LEDs on the front panel display the status of individual ports and the entire system, allowing administrators to efficiently manage the network.
The LRP-101C-KIT includes two products: the LRP-101CH, a Coaxial Long Reach PoE Injector (LRP injector), and the LRP-101UE, a Coaxial Long Reach PoE Extender (LRP extender). Operating as a pair, the LRP-101CH can be powered by an external power adapter or a PoE+ Ethernet switch, and from there, the LRP-101CE's 802.3at standard PoE output powers the PoE-Powered Device (PD). The LRP-101C-KIT can be widely applied in Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), traffic monitoring, security, automation control, and so on.

The LRP-101C-KIT can operate in two different combinations:

Type 1: LRP-101CH with PoE power input and LRP-101CE with PoE power output
The LRP-101CH injector is powered by an IEEE 802.3at/af PoE source and transmits data and power over coaxial cable to the LRP-101CE extender. An IEEE 802.3at/af-compliant PoE PD will then be automatically powered by the LRP-101CE extender using UTP cabling.

Type 2: LRP-101UH with 48~56V DC power input and LRP-101UE with PoE power output
The LRP-101UH injector is powered by a power adapter and sends data and power over UTP cable to the LRP-101UE extender. An IEEE 802.3at/af-compliant PoE PD is then automatically powered by the LRP-101UE via UTP cabling.
