The Planet IPOE-470 PoE injector, part of the industrial IEEE 802.3bt PoE++ injector hub series, features four 10/100/1000BASE-T 95-watt 802.3bt Type-4 PoE++ injector ports. With a total PoE budget of 240 watts, it delivers 802.3bt PoE++ power over Ethernet UTP cables. This enables simultaneous data and power transfer to a remote 802.3bt/at-powered device (PD).

The IPOE-470 series offers a fast, secure, and cost-effective 802.3bt PoE++ network solution for small businesses and enterprises. It is designed to perfectly upgrade an existing network infrastructure to an 802.3bt PoE++ network system without replacing existing Ethernet switches, and also allows for centralized power supply.

The IPOE-470 series includes two models: IPOE-470 and IPOE-470-12V.

The IPOE-470 series uses the IEEE 802.bt PoE++ standard and PoH technology. This makes it capable of up to 95 watts of power by utilizing all four pairs of standard Cat5e/6 Ethernet cabling to deliver power and full data rates to any external PoE-compatible PD. It has three times the power capacity of conventional 802.3at PoE+ and is an ideal solution for meeting the growing demand for high-power network PDs, such as:

The Planet IPOE-470 PoE injector is installed between a regular Ethernet Switch and the PDs. Four ports are network (Ethernet) ports for data input while the other four ports are PoE++ ports for data and power output. Both power and data are transferred simultaneously over the UTP cables. This to various 802.3bt/at PDs without affecting the existing network performance and functions.

With data and Power over Ethernet from one unit, the IPOE-470 series can reduce power cable deployment and eliminate the need for dedicated electrical outlets on the wall, ceiling or any unreachable place.

To facilitate the use of 802.3bt PoE++ with commonly used 48~54V DC power input for transportation and industrial applications makes the  IPOE-470-12V use of the 12~54V DC to 54V power boost Technology to solve power problems without requiring specialized power supplies. The wide-voltage design is suitable for global use in high-availability applications requiring dual or backup power inputs.

Power budget for PoE expansion

With a PoE output capacity of up to 95 watts, the IPOE-470 series can span much longer distances by using the PLANET PoE Extender to power the PoE PD. This PoE PD can be installed at distances of over 100 meters.
