Planet IPOE-470

Compact and Robust Industrial 802.3bt PoE++ Network Solution

The Planet IPOE-470 PoE injector, part of the industrial IEEE 802.3bt PoE++ injector hub series, features four 10/100/1000BASE-T 95-watt 802.3bt Type-4 PoE++ injector ports. With a total PoE budget of 240 watts, it delivers 802.3bt PoE++ power over Ethernet UTP cables. This enables simultaneous data and power transfer to a remote 802.3bt/at-powered device (PD).

The IPOE-470 series offers a fast, secure, and cost-effective 802.3bt PoE++ network solution for small businesses and enterprises. It is designed to perfectly upgrade an existing network infrastructure to an 802.3bt PoE++ network system without replacing existing Ethernet switches, and also allows for centralized power supply.

The IPOE-470 series includes two models: IPOE-470 and IPOE-470-12V.

802.3bt PoE++ Meets Ultra-Power Needs of Powered Devices

The IPOE-470 series utilizes the IEEE 802.bt PoE++ standard and PoH technology. This enables it to deliver up to 95 watts of power by using all four pairs of standard Cat5e/6 Ethernet cabling to provide power and full data speed to any external PoE-compatible PD. It possesses three times the power capacity compared to conventional 802.3at PoE+ and is an ideal solution to meet the growing demand for network PDs that consume more power, such as:

• PoE PTZ speed dome cameras
• Network devices
• thin clients
• AIO (all-in-one) touch PCs, point of sale (POS) and information kiosks
• Remote digital signage displays
• PoE lightings

Quick and Easy 802.3bt/at PoE Network Deployment

The Planet IPOE-470 PoE injector is installed between a regular Ethernet Switch and the PDs. Four ports are network (Ethernet) ports for data input while the other four ports are PoE++ ports for data and power output. Both power and data are transferred simultaneously over the UTP cables. This to various 802.3bt/at PDs without affecting the existing network performance and functions.

With data and Power over Ethernet from one unit, the IPOE-470 series can reduce power cable deployment and eliminate the need for dedicated electrical outlets on the wall, ceiling or any unreachable place.

The Planet IPOE-470 PoE injector is installed between a regular Ethernet switch and the PDs. Four ports are network (Ethernet) ports for data input, while the other four are PoE++ ports for data and power output. Both power and data are transferred simultaneously over UTP cables to multiple 802.3bt/at PDs without affecting existing network performance and functionality.

With both data and power over Ethernet from a single unit, the IPOE-470 Series can reduce power cabling and eliminate the need for dedicated electrical outlets on the wall, ceiling, or other hard-to-reach places.

Easy and Reliable Power System

To facilitate the use of 802.3bt PoE++ with commonly used 48~54V DC power inputs for transportation and industrial applications, the IPOE-470-12V utilizes 12~54V DC to 54V power boost technology to solve power issues without requiring dedicated power supplies. The wide-range voltage design is suitable for worldwide use in high-availability applications requiring dual or backup power inputs.

Power budget for PoE expansion

With a PoE output capacity of up to 95 watts, the IPOE-470 series can span much longer distances by using the PLANET PoE Extender to power the PoE PD. This PoE PD can be installed at distances of over 100 meters.

Stable Performance in Challenging Environments

Today, demand for PoE is growing from commercial applications to many critical networks in demanding environments. The IPOE-470 series offers a high level of immunity to electromagnetic interference, as well as the heavy electrical surges typical of factory floors or traffic control cabinets along roads.

The IPOE-470 series features easy plug-and-play installation and stable operation in temperatures ranging from -40 to 75 degrees Celsius, allowing users to easily deploy the device in almost any location on the network. Furthermore, the IPOE-470 series features a compact, IP30-rated metal housing that allows for both DIN-rail and wall mounting for space-constrained environments.

Robust Protection

The IPOE-470 series offers ±6KV DC contact discharge and ±8KV DC air discharge for Ethernet ESD protection. It also supports ±6KV surge immunity to enhance product stability and protect user networks from devastating ESD attacks. This ensures that business operations remain stable.
