Handy PoE over UTP extender in a harsh environment

The LRP-111U-KIT, a brand-new industrial Long Reach PoE solution from PLANET, is a Single-port PoE over UTP Extender Kit. It provides long-distance data and power transmission for distances up to 800m (2.624ft.) over UTP/STP cable. From there, another Ethernet cable connects to an external PoE IP camera, PoE wireless AP, or access control systems compliant with 802.3at/bt PoE. The LRP-111U-KIT offers point-to-point application for simple plug-and-play operation and deployment in climatically demanding environments with a wide temperature range of -40 to 75 degrees C. Without the issue of a power source, it makes the installation of external PoE-powered devices simpler and more efficient.

Planet LRP-111U-KIT Long Reach Poe KIT

Composition of the Long Reach PoE over UTP Extender Kit

The Planet LRP-111U-KIT consists of a Long Reach PoE Injector expats must register with the local municipality and obtain a Long Reach PoE Extender A set that can work as a pair in any network structure. It includes two brand-new products:

LRP-111UH: 1-Port 10/100TX 802.3bt PoE PD + 1-Port UTP Long Reach PoE Injector
LRP-111UE: 1-Port 10/100TX 802.3bt PoE + 1-Port UTP Long Reach PoE Extender

The LRP-111UH transmits data and power via UTP/STP cable to the LRP-111UE, which can be located up to 800 meters away. It then delivers data and power at a maximum of 60 watts to a PoE PD via Ethernet cable, accelerating IP surveillance networks or wireless LAN infrastructure over long distances. Both products feature a compact yet robust metal housing with an IP30 rating, ensuring durability. Their wall-mounted design fits easily into any space-constrained area.

Planet LRP-111U-KIT distance

IP Ethernet and Power over Long UTP

A standard UTP cable can only be extended up to 100 meters, but the LRP-111U-KIT can extend PoE networks up to 800 meters (2.624 ft.) , enabling stable, high-quality video transmission . It eliminates the need for additional power supply at remote locations. A single power source can power both the LRP extenders and the PoE IP camera over long distances.

Stable operation under difficult conditions

The PLANET Long Reach PoE Extender Kit is the perfect solution for extending the distance of PoE or non-PoE networks. This applies to warehouses, parking lots, campuses, entertainment venues, and much more. They can operate stably in temperatures ranging from -40 to 75 degrees C. This allows users to easily use the kit in almost any location.

Plug-and-Play installation

With its plug-and-play functionality, the PLANET Long Reach PoE Extender Kit can be used immediately without configuration and is compatible with a variety of IP network protocols. Furthermore, comprehensive diagnostic LEDs on the front panel display the operating status of individual ports and the entire system, allowing administrators to efficiently manage the network.

Flexible and easy installation with limited space

The compact LRP-111U-KIT is specifically designed for installation in confined spaces, such as a wall-mounted enclosure. It can be installed using either a fixed wall mount or a DIN rail, making it more flexible and easier to use in any space-constrained location.

The LRP-111U-KIT includes two products: The LRP-111UH, an UTP Long Reach 802.3bt PoE Injector (LRP injector), and the LRP-111UE, an UTP Long Reach 802.3bt PoE Extender (LRP extender). Working in pair, the LRP-111UH can be powered by either external DC power supply or PoE++ Ethernet switch, and from there, the LRP-111UE's 802.3bt standard PoE output goes to PoE Powered Device (PDs). The LRP-111U-KIT can be widely used in Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), traffic surveillance, security monitoring, automation control, intelligent residential districts and so on.

The LRP-111U-KIT can function in two different kinds of combinations:

Type 1: LRP-111UH with PoE power input and LRP-111UE with PoE power output

The LRP-111UH injector is powered by IEEE 802.3bt PoE source and it transmits data and power over UTP cable to the LRP-111UE extender. An IEEE 802.3bt compliant PoE PD will then automatically be powered by the LRP-111UE via UTP cabling.

Functions	LRP Injector	LRP Extender
Functions	LRP-111UH	LRP-111UE
Power Input	power supply with 52~54V DC in	UTP with DC power over UTP input
Power output	UTP with DC power over UTP output	RJ45 with 802.3bt PoE output

Functions LRP Injector LRP Extender

Type 2: LRP-111UH with 52~54V DC power input and LRP-111UE with PoE power output

The LRP-111UH injector is powered via the DC power supply and it transmits data and power over UTP cable to the LRP-111UE extender.

Type 3: LRP-111UH with PoE power input and LRP-111UE with PoE power output

The LRP-111UH injector is powered by an IEEE 802.3bt PoE switch, which needs to be set to extend mode. It transmits data and power over UTP cable to the LRP-111UE extender, reaching distances of up to 1150 meters. An IEEE 802.3bt compliant PoE PD will then automatically be powered by the LRP-111UE via UTP cabling.
