PoE Solution to Break the 100m Limitation

The PLANET POE-E304 is a 1-port 95W 802.3bt PoE++ to 4-port 802.3af/at Gigabit PoE Extender specifically designed for point-to-multipoint PoE applications. The POE-E304 can be powered with up to 95 watts of PoE power from one IEEE 802.3bt PoE input port and delivers up to 65 watts of PoE power to four PoE output ports, simultaneously extending the transmission distance of both Gigabit Ethernet data and IEEE 802.3at/802.3af Power over Ethernet from the standard length of 100 meters with Cat. 5/5e/6 UTP cable to up to 200 meters. In short, the POE-E304 offers a simple solution for adding PoE ports without the need for additional cabling, and also achieves more flexible network applications without the need for an external power adapter.

Plug and Play Installation

The POE-E304 is easy to install by simply “plugging and playing.” It is used between a power source equipment (PSE) and a powered device (PD). The POE-E304 injects power into the PD without affecting data transmission performance. The POE-E304 offers a cost-effective and quick solution to double the standard PoE range from 100 meters to 200 meters. The POE-304 is designed in a compact housing with five RJ5 ports, including one “PoE IN” port that functions as PoE (Data and Power) input, and the other four “PoE OUT” ports that function as PoE outputs. The “PoE OUT” port also serves as a power injector, sending DC voltage over the Cat. 45/5e/5 cable, simultaneously transmitting data and power between the PSE and PD.
